The biggest change in Sapphire 2022 is that Photoshop is now one of the host applications.

The new Photoshop addon, available for free for both Adobe / OFX and Avid versions, has the same filters and parameters as other Sapphire plugins, allowing you to share your own effects settings with other host applications.
Note that, as with other host integrations, Sapphire for Photoshop has GPU acceleration with CUDA in Windows and Metal in macOS, and initially has support for the new Apple M1 processors.

Among the new features is S_ColorFuse, a new tool for creating custom colour gradations by mixing up to three LUTs. The result can then be transferred to other Sapphire host applications as a preset.

The tool comes with a starter LUT package, or users can import their own LUTs in .cube format.
Updates to existing features include support for OpenColorIO 2, the latest version of the colour management standard within LensFlare Designer, and workflow and performance improvements.

S_UltraZap, the redesigned lightning effect introduced in Sapphire 2021, can now generate ‘bursts’ based on traceable splines generated by Sapphire’s built-in planar tracker Mocha.
The Sapphire 2022 update also introduced over 300 new visual effects presets.
In addition to all of the above, Sapphire now supports CUDA 11, the latest version of Nvidia’s GPU computing framework, which means GPU acceleration support on current Nvidia RTX Axxx graphics cards such as the RTX A6000.
Sapphire 2022 is available for a range of compositing software, including After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Flame and Nuke, on Windows 10 and above, CentOS / RHEL Linux and/or macOS 10.14 and above.
The cost of the new license is $1,695 for Avid and Adobe / OFX versions or $2,795 for a multi-host license.
