The release of Affinity Photo 1.9 and Affinity Designer 1.9

CG news

Serif has released Affinity Photo 1.9 and Affinity Designer 1.9. Users of Affinity Photo have the ability to apply non-destructive liquefaction adjustments as masked layers, and to link multiple layers and edit them simultaneously.

Affinity Designer users get a new Contour tool and new convenient workflow changes for object selection, including the ability to select all objects in a document that advise a certain attribute value.
Both apps get the ability to link to external resources from within the document, GPU acceleration in Windows 10, macOS and iOS, and a new Divide Blend layer mode.

Affinity Photo 1.9 has expanded the workflow by adding “Plastic” operations to the list of adjustments that can be applied as layers. This change not only makes image deformation a non-destructive process, but also gives users the ability to apply masks to “Plastic” effects and to apply “Plastic” layers to multiple image layers.

It is also possible to link layers in the document for editing. After that, editing is done simultaneously for all linked layers, with the ability to unlink properties of individual layers. Affinity Designer has a new Contour tool for adding contours to objects, for example to design a logo or increase the width of open curves.

Among the improvements to the workflow are the new “Select Object” and “Select Same” commands, which speed up the process of mass editing of documents.
The first command selects all objects of a certain type – pixel layers, text, symbols, groups, and so on. The second command selects all objects that match the attribute of the currently selected object.

Affinity Photo 1.9Affinity Designer 1.9 and Affinite Publisher 1.9 are available for Winows 7 and later and Mac OS X 10.9 and later. Photo and Designer are also available for iOS 12 and above. All upgrades are free for existing users.
The cost of a new license is $49.99. The cost of the iPad app is $19.99. At the time of publication of this news, the cost of the software has been reduced by 50%.
